Queer Engineer International is a non-profit global network of engineering, technology, and applied science professionals and students. Together, we work to build resources and authentic community at the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and STEM. This LGBTQ+ History Month and beyond, NMITE are celebrating engineers and scientists whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the world.

These figures not only transformed STEM but also stood as symbols of resilience, proving that diversity in engineering drives progress.

With that in mind, we’ll be taking a look at some of the most inspiring LGBTQ+ CEOs, engineers, and entrepreneurs in STEM fields. Note: The individuals listed here are in no particular order. InterEngineering, a volunteer-led network built to connect and support LGBT engineers, is hosting The Future of LGBTQ+ in Engineering Summit on the 28th of October where they will develop a plan for improving inclusion and diversity in engineering for the next 5 years.
